Nice and colorful…
The wrens in the Netherlands (where I live) are nice little birds, but a bit dull in color. Brown with some light specks and stripes. At least if you compare this species with a wren (a Red-winged Fairywren (Malurus elegans)) from Australia that Jan Wegener (a well-known bird photographer) showed in a video on Instagram. When I saw that beautiful bird I immediately thought: I want to paint it! So I did. This is the result! Beautiful bird, isn’t it?
